01What it is
A team generator splits a list of people into random groups. Use it for a pickup soccer game, group work in class, a team-building activity or a game tournament.
On Cuki the split comes from a public seed and the same engine as our draws. Teams stay balanced (sizes differ by one person at most) and, with the seed and the list, anyone can repeat the calculation and get exactly the same teams.
02How it works
Everything happens in your browser, on phone or computer.
One name per line. Copy it from a group chat or a spreadsheet, or type it.
Number of teams or people per team. Before you start, you see how many teams you'll get and their size.
The list is shuffled with a public seed and dealt one by one, so the teams stay balanced.
Copy the teams to paste them in the group chat and, if anyone doubts it, verify the result on the server.
03Transparency
Each split comes from a 256-bit public seed and the list exactly as you typed it. With that data, anyone can recalculate it and get exactly the same teams.

Yes. The team generator is free and needs no sign-up.
Yes. People are dealt one per team, so team sizes are equal or differ by one person at most.
You get as many teams as needed so none goes over that number, and they stay balanced. For example, 10 people with 4 per team: 3 teams of 3 or 4 people. You see how they'll turn out before you start.
Each split comes from a public seed generated on the spot. With the seed and the list, the verify button repeats the calculation on the server and confirms you get the same teams.
The generator splits at random, without looking at skill. To balance, split two lists separately with the same number of teams: one with the strongest players and one with everyone else. Then pair the teams in reverse order: team 1 of one list with the last team of the other, team 2 with the second to last, and so on. That way team sizes stay balanced.
Up to 500 names at a time, in as many teams as you want.
